Online Session Info
We offer facilitated mindfulness sessions for teens through a convenient online service. Our goal in offering our services online is that teens who are struggling to leave home, or feel more comfortable having sessions in their own home will benefit from working with a facilitator online. Here's some information about how our online sessions work
For our online video sessions, we are using a program called Zoom. It is HIPAA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA compliant. This means it is safe and secure, and is up to date with Canadian privacy and health information regulations.
Fees are charged in Canadian dollars. We store your credit card information in Janeapp, a safe and secure booking and charting software program for clinical professionals. The fee will be charged at the end of the session.
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancelled sessions. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, a 50% fee will be charged. Sessions that are missed altogether with no prior cancellation will be result in a 100% fee charged.
We are located in Ontario and are currently only providing services within Ontario. As practitioners, we are accountable to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. If you live outside of Ontario, please contact us and we will try and help you find mindfulness services in your region.
We are unable to take new clients online who are experiencing suicidal feelings or a potential harm to themselves or others at the point of intake. If these feelings comes up through the course of therapy, it is our policy to inform parents if their teen is suicidal, or a potential harm to themselves or others. In these cases, we will continue to work with your teen but you will also need to find your teen a local therapist or medical professional to help with the immediate risk and concern for your teen and their safety.
